Testing underway in MalaysiaSepang has been ordered to make minor repairs prior to next weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix.
Ahead of the start of pre-race testing on Tuesday, FIA safety delegate Charlie Whiting conducted his regular pre-event inspection and asked for
improvements to guard rails and tyre barriers.
"I have asked them do some minor works for the race," Whiting confirmed to the local newspaper New Strait Times.
Since last March's Malaysian Grand Prix, the eighth since 1999, Sepang has also resurfaced 400 metres of track between turns 3 and 4.
Every team except Spyker is a at the circuit for tests today, Wednesday and Thursday.
It is one of just eight tests permitted during the season and part of the voluntary agreement to limit testing expenditure is that teams can use only one car per day.
