Testing ahead of the next Grand PrixWith the season opener now run and won, F1's next stop is the pre-Malaysian Grand Prix test near Kuala Lumpur.
"We have a bit of a break before Sepang," Mark Webber explained on Sunday after a difficult race at the wheel of his
Red Bull at Albert Park.
The Sepang International Circuit will host F1 testing for the first time ever over three days from next Tuesday, as the teams try to plug the logistically nightmarish three week gap between the first two flyaway rounds of 2007.
Access to the circuit for the test will be free for the public, ahead of the Malaysian Grand Prix there on 8 April.
Official F1 freight began departing Melbourne's Avalon Airport bound for Kuala Lumpur on Monday.
"We hope this (testing) will be an annual affair," said Sepang boss Datuk Mokhzani Mahathir, "but obviously this depends on the race calendar."
