Ferrari expected to lead the way
Report ranks F1's teams ahead of '07 opener
With the assistance of a fans' survey, the German magazine Auto Motor und Sport has published what it describes as a definitive ranking of how F1's class of 2007 should line up on the Melbourne grid next week.

Not a single
engine has even fired at the Australian season opener, but followers of the recently concluded winter test period think Ferrari's F2007 is set to dominate at Albert Park.

"The car can do everything," the specialist publication suggests.

"It is comfortable on the new tyres, it is just as impressive on a long run as it is on a flying lap; the only question mark is a little one over its reliability."

McLaren Mercedes and BMW Sauber rank next, followed by the reigning world champions Renault and then the newly Toyota-powered Williams outfit.

In sixth place, Honda is one of the let-downs of the pre-season, but Red Bull Renault and Toyota - respectively seventh and eighth - also appear headed for an embarrassing start to '07.

Toro Rosso Ferrari, Super Aguri Honda and finally Spyker Ferrari round out the fans' ranking.
