Sakhir - BMW Sauber - TestingNick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica were back on track today, logging more miles on the BMW Sauber F1.07 chassis.
The day was interrupted time and time again by red flags. Despite the interruptions, in the morning session Heidfeld completed
his scheduled programme for testing mechanical set-ups.
Kubica’s programme was further hampered by a hydraulic leak in the morning. In the afternoon the team was able to complete its scheduled programme and concentrated on optimizing mechanical set-up on both cars and carried out some tyre comparisons.
Tomorrow will be the final day of pre-season testing for all F1 teams.
Heidfeld and Kubica will be sharing driving duties again and doing final systems checks for the forthcoming season’s opener in Melbourne.
They will also carry out the final confirmation of the cooling system as the highest ambient temperature of the entire pre-season testing is expected in Bahrain tomorrow.
