Massa tipping McLaren on test form
''We know that we have a competitive car''
Felipe Massa no longer believes that BMW Sauber is the season favourite for 2007.

The Ferrari driver recently confessed that the Swiss-German team had impressed him most in the winter period.

But in a new interview
for the Spanish newspaper Marca while testing in Bahrain last week, the Brazilian said McLaren now seem ahead of the rest.

"The gap between several teams is very small," said Massa, "but in my opinion the best looking team at the moment is McLaren."

"Renault, too, are showing that they have a really good car, no one should underestimate them, and also BMW, and our simulation of race distances has been very good."

"Perhaps in some tests we have not looked that great, but we know that we have a competitive car."

"It doesn't matter whether we are a second ahead or a second behind in testing, the only thing that matters is that we are there," he concluded.
