Aiming to make gains with the TF107Ralf Schumacher has given a less shining appraisal of his 'second impression' in Toyota's new car for the 2007 season.
The German reacted positively after initially testing the TF107, but in recent group sessions the Cologne built
contender is regularly near the wrong end of the time sheets.
"My first impression was good," the 31-year-old told Sport Bild, "and my second not so."
It is understood that the drivers are complaining specifically about a lack of grip and stability in the corners, culminating in an average deficit to the front runners of around one second per lap.
Schumacher continued: "We are still a young team so you can't expect us to be up in the top at the beginning but we are looking forward to the season and to changing that.
"Testing is never perfect, if you ask anybody in the pits they will always say they want more time," he said.
