Jarno Trulli, the solution uniquely attaches the upper element of the front wing to the tip of the nose.
It is
understood that the innovation was tested in the hope that it be raced in the season opening Australian Grand Prix to help cure understeer.
Appearing to extend the original thinking of Williams, Renault and Ferrari, the nose was tested last week alongside the more conventional solution, which was also fitted to the launch-version of the car.
