Super Aguri sign up technical partner
Meteorological systems from Metris
Super Aguri Honda has announced Metris as an official industrial supplier. Metris will supply the team with high-tech metrology systems for dimensional quality control comprising laser scanners for CMM and portable arms complemented with
the point cloud analysis software.

These systems will enable the team to optimise their inspection processes during the production of various body and engine components for their cars.

"Metris is very proud to be an official industrial supplier to the Super Aguri F1 Team," stated Jos Jans, Director of Business Development, Metris. "It is both a great honour and a major responsibility for us to work together. Our partnership with the Formula One team is an excellent platform to showcase innovative technologies such as the Metris’ optical metrology solutions to the commercial automotive manufacturers."

“We’re partnering with Metris because of its impressive range of advanced metrology products,” said Super Aguri MD Daniel Audetto. "We are looking forward to using the Metris laser scanners that will enable faster and better inspection in order to take the performance of our cars to the next level. Having a team partner like Metris matches our goal of continuous improvement and we look forward to hopefully moving up the grid with their assistance."

The Metris solutions are adopted by the majority of the leading F1 teams which are utilizing these on a daily basis during R&D, testing and production.
