Nico Rosberg calms expectations for 2007
A step forward with the FW29 package
Nico Rosberg has ruled out claims that Williams is set to return to the team's 'good old days' with its promising new car.

The Toyota-powered FW29 has been a surprise of the winter pre-season so far, after Sir Frank Williams' Grove
based squad finished a despondent eighth in the 2006 constructors' battle.

"It's a good step forward," said 21-year-old Rosberg, whose Finnish father Keke won the drivers' championship with Williams in 1982.

Comparing the new car with its predecessor, German born Rosberg - who finished seventeenth in 2006 with four points - added: "(It has) a lot more grip and much better reliability. It is a lot of fun to drive."

Quoted as saying by the newspaper Gulf Daily News, however, the young driver said it was unlikely that in 2007 the British team could recapture the success of recent years, after Williams finished either second or third between 2000-2003.

He insisted: "We are hoping to have a good season but to expect us to return to good old days would be optimistic.

"The good old days are damn good old days and in F1 you cannot normally just jump back to the front from one year to the next."
