Kubica hails Spa return, mourns Suzuka
''I will miss Suzuka, I don't know much about Fuji''
Robert Kubica has hailed the return of Belgium's legendary Spa Francorchamps circuit to the F1 calendar in 2007, but mourns the departure of Suzuka.

Due to the bankruptcy of the promoter and lagging circuit improvements,
Spa fell off the schedule in 2006, but returns for 2007 with new facilities and a slightly altered layout.

"I think it is very good that Spa is back," Kubica, the rookie Pole who drives for BMW Sauber, said this week.

22-year-old Kubica has not driven a Formula One car at the forest-lined venue in the Belgian Ardennes, but he knows Spa well from his junior career.

He compared the historic Belgian venue to Suzuka, which has lost the Japanese Grand Prix to the refurbished and Toyota-sponsored Fuji.

"I will miss Suzuka," Kubica lamented. "It was very nice to compete at that challenging track in 2006.

"I don't know much about Fuji. I saw a bit of film footage about the track when I was in Tokyo recently; it looks quite interesting but it is not the same as Suzuka which is really unique."
