The 22-year-old shrugged off the incident which inflicted serious damage on the MP4-22
- the car McLaren are pinning their hopes on challenging for the title with Hamilton and world champion
Fernando Alonso.
"Unfortunately these things happen in this sport," Hamilton told the BBC. "I am completely fine and I'm looking forward to getting back to testing next week."
While Hamilton will have to watch from the pits Alonso is set to complete the three day testing session on Friday.
