Ferrari to get '07 head-start - KovalainenFurther to reports that the new Super Aguri failed to get a green light from the FIA, it now emerges that the car actually passed nine out of the ten mandatory crash tests.
The Japanese squad's 2007 car passed the new tougher
front and rear impact tests, we have learned, and apparently only fell foul of the test to assess the strength of the monocoque sides.
Heikki Kovalainen meanwhile says existing Bridgestone runners including Ferrari are likely to get a head-start in 2007.
The Finnish rookie said at the launch of the new Renault in Amsterdam: "I don't believe tyres will be the decisive factor for the championship, but I do think the teams who have had to change from Michelin are slightly disadvantaged."
