First pictures of the new RA107Four teams were in test action on Wednesday.
Most noteworthy were the low-profile shakedowns of Honda - at Barcelona - and Red Bull's new cars for 2007, while Ferrari and McLaren resumed winter running.
At Vallelunga, the uncooperative
Roman weather - featuring violent rain and hail - hindered Felipe Massa and
Kimi Raikkonen, moving Ferrari to extend the session to now include Friday.
"I have not had many dry laps so far," Raikkonen rued, after Ferrari changed their initial plans to test at Mugello due to the forecast of disruptive snow.
McLaren kicked off an exclusive test at Valencia, where the weather was far from perfect but at least dry.
The team's three official drivers eventually got down to business, but reportedly spent much of the morning doing filming work for sponsors Johnnie Walker and Vodafone.
Honda's RA107, meanwhile, was shaken down at Circuit de Catalunya in the hands of
Rubens Barrichello. The new car notably features a thinner nose.
