Williams tester aiming for more mileageNarain Karthikeyan has suggested that 2007 should be an 'even more exciting' year for him in F1.
The sport's first Indian driver, who debuted for Jordan in 2005, turned to Williams' second test seat last year, but Alex Wurz
enjoyed the privilege of appearing for the Grove team on the Fridays of race weekends.
Austrian Wurz, however, has now moved into the race seat, effectively promoting 29-year-old Karthikeyan to the primary test role alongside rookie Kazuki Nakajima.
The third car rule for Fridays has been scrapped for 2007, but some teams are nonetheless planning to still use a test driver for the new three hours of unrestricted free practice.
"I'm excited about continuing my role as the test driver for Williams, with the added possible benefit of driving on some of the Fridays of race weekends," Karthikeyan said.
