Heidfeld wants to race longer than Schumacher
Looking forward to another decade of F1
Unlike the now retired Michael Schumacher, countryman Nick Heidfeld says he could imagine racing in Formula One beyond his thirty eighth birthday.

The German, who is 29, told sport1.de that his plan is to hang around in the
F1 paddock for at least ten more years.

"At the moment I see myself in a very good position with regards to my age and my experience," said Heidfeld, whose team-mate Robert Kubica is just 22.

Meanwhile, BMW Sauber's 'Friday' driver, Sebastian Vettel, is still a teenager.

Heidfeld added: "If everything goes well, I hope to drive for ten more years in F1."

Heidfeld insists, however, that he is not 'scared' of his young team-mates, who are commonly referred to as champions of the future.

Asked specifically about Poland's Kubica, he said: "It is actually better for me if I have someone else in the team who is quick. With a slow team-mate you get nowhere."
