Michael Schumacher travelled to Maranello to receive his biggest trophy of all.
Standing at 1.6 metres and weighing no less than 200
kilograms, the massive glass trophy bore the names of all seventy two Grand Prix the German won for Ferrari, according to the Spanish sports newspaper El Mundo Deportivo.
Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo said: "One golden era is closed, but another one is born."
