New winter residence in CourchevelMichael Schumacher has sold his winter holiday retreat in Norway, according to the German newspaper Bild.
The popular daily tabloid reported on Wednesday that Schumacher has opted instead for a holiday destination in France.
To
rest during F1's winter months, the 37-year-old has since 1996 retreated to a 600 square metre skiing ranch in Trysil, 200 kilometres north of Oslo.
Schumacher once said: "Here, in the isolation, I gather motivation to win races."
But now with even more time to spend with his family, Schumacher has apparently sold up and bought a property in Courchevel, a popular ski area in the Savoie region of the French Alps.
Bild said Schumacher will spend Christmas in Courchevel, which is only a two hour drive from the former Ferrari driver's new Swiss mansion in Gland.
