New Red Bull to roll in January
Awaiting the Newey designed RB3
Red Bull's new car will make its track debut in the second half of January, according to Team Principal Christian Horner.

The English boss said the RB3 is due to be fired up for the first time next month "prior to the now communal tests
under the new testing agreement."

Horner told F1's official website that the Milton-Keynes based squad will continue to use a Ferrari engine in the 2006 car until Adrian Newey's first chassis is ready to run.

Red Bull will be powered by Renault V8 engines in 2007, while the Ferrari units move to sister team Toro Rosso.

He also clarified that, amid reports that 2006 test driver Robert Doornbos' contractual situation for next year is unresolved, Michael Ammermuller has not been signed as an official test driver.

German Ammermuller recently inked a contract to race in GP2 in 2007.

"Michael is a member of the Red Bull junior team whose members we can call upon from time to time. We have been pleased with the job he has done, which is why he has been used on more than one occasion," Horner said.
