Fernando Alonso and Renault received their trophies for winning the 2006 drivers' and constructors' championships.
A suite of FIA statements also
confirmed that Paul Ricard received the 'Centre of Excellence' trophy, Bridgestone the 'World Prize for Road Safety', and Sir Stirling Moss a 'Gold Medal for Motor Sport'.
Formula One Management won an award for its television coverage of the Chinese Grand Prix, and Brazilian organisers won the 'Race Promoters' Trophy'.
F1's retiring
Michael Schumacher also accepted an FIA Gold Medal from Max Mosley and Bernie Ecclestone.
"It's a career that has never been equalled in the past and probably never will be in the future," said Mosley, the president of the FIA.
