Hamilton, Piquet and Valles in actionF1 is this week shaping up to host perhaps the most fascinating week of testing seen so far in 2006.
Six teams - Spyker MF1, Renault, McLaren, Williams, Toyota and Super Aguri - have selected Silverstone as the scene for their last
test of the race season, and there will be plenty to talk about.
2007 team test driver Nelson Piquet is scheduled to make his debut in a Renault, while McLaren protégé Lewis Hamilton gets his first proper test in a Mercedes-powered F1 car.
Narain Karthikeyan, meanwhile, is tipped to take the wheel in Northamptonshire as Williams runs a Toyota engine for the first time.
Debuting for Spyker-MF1 will be rookies Adrian Valles, and also Venezuelan Ernesto Viso, who is hoping to qualify for a Super License in order to prepare for his Friday test debut in Brazil.
It is also understood that the newly sold squad, now owned by a group headed by the Dutch car maker Spyker Cars, will use a novel orange livery at the Silverstone test.
At Jerez in southern Spain, BMW Sauber and Honda will test, while Ferrari run at Mugello. Red Bull's two teams wrapped up their 2006 test programmes last week.
