An off in his E-Type at GoodwoodRed Bull technical guru Adrian Newey spent a night in hospital last weekend after he was knocked unconscious in an amateur sports car race.
Newey, 47, was lapping a backmarker at Goodwood when his Jaguar E-Type slid onto the grass and
into a wall.
Newey was taken to a local hospital and kept under observation, following a similarly high-speed shunt in a Ford GT40 at Le Mans in July, when he injured his finger.
"I must have hit my head on the rollbar," Newey told Eurosport.
"I have no recollection of the event. I felt a bit dazed in the ambulance and now I feel as though I have severe jet lag."
