US GP - Fastest LapsFerrari qualified one-two for the US Grand Prix and repeated the result in the race itself. Schumacher qualified on a 1:10.832s lap with race fuel but never had to push hard in the race itself and still managed a best lap of 1:12.719s on lap 56.
While
Ferrari dominated and also controlled the pace,
Giancarlo Fisichella finished third and set the third fastest lap of the race, four-tenths off Schumacher's best.
Ralf Schumacher didn't finish the race but was fourth fastest in his Toyota just ahead of
Jarno Trulli who started from the pit lane and finished fourth.
Rubens Barrichello qualified fourth and finished in sixth in his Honda. Once again race pace was a concern as his best lap was just the seventh best of the race, three-tenths off the Toyota racers he had to battle with.
Tonio Liuzzi did a good job to score the first point for Toro Rosso and his pace suggests that seventh position ahead of Coulthard could have been on had he managed to find a way passed in the second round of stops.
