MF1 Racing yet to be convinced? With the other team chiefs now expected to sign up, Midland's Colin Kolles is a stumbling block to unanimity over a new proposal to soften the blow of the engine 'freeze'.
The so-called 'Indianapolis agreement' (such imagination - good
thing they didn’t go out for dinner and a chin-wag at Hooters...) allows for some tinkering to power plants in 2007 and beyond, but the F1 Commission - to meet on Thursday - will only consider ratifying a unanimously-signed document.
Kolles is understood to be pushing the keen carmakers to offer the smaller teams a better deal, and rumours suggest that negotiations are at an advanced stage for a subsidised supply of Mercedes-Benz V8s for 2007.
