Heidfeld adamant wing is legalBMW Sauber intend to use a nearly identical rear wing at Indianapolis, despite complaints led by close rival Honda that it flexes illegally.
It was rumoured that BMW had agreed in Montreal to attach an additional bracket to the design following
suggestions that the initial solution still allowed the wing to bend.
Reports from the US, however, suggest that the design in the pit lane is basically unchanged.
"I don't know," said BMW Sauber driver
Nick Heidfeld, "I only know that our wing is legal. The FIA said it is."
"I think it shows that we are improving because Honda never used to care about what we were doing."
BMW Sauber lie ten points behind Honda in the constructors' championship and eight ahead of Toyota.
