Driver continuity at Toyota next yearJarno Trulli is 'very close' to signing a new contract, Toyota F1 President John Howett admits.
Responding to the reports circulating at Montreal that the Italian was shaping up to stay for another three years, Howett insisted that
pen hasn't yet been put to paper.
"But we're very close to (reaching) an agreement," the Briton was quoted as saying by Speed TV.
Howett explained: "It's always dangerous to say anything until we both finally agree the details and sign. As I've said all along, we expect to have the same driver line-up (in 2007)."
31-year-old Trulli's current team-mate is
Ralf Schumacher, who has at least one more year to run on his own deal.
