A new testing venue at Circuito Monteblanco?A fourth Spanish test track will be up and running for the use of F1 teams by 2007.
Auto Motor Und Sport magazine reports that, in addition to existing venues at Jerez, Barcelona and Valencia, 'Circuito Monteblanco' - 48 kilometres
from Seville - has now obtained a 'type-1' FIA license to allow for F1 testing and races up to GP2.
Circuit boss Michel Ligonnet, however, is quoted as saying that Monteblanco does not intend to bid for a Grand Prix in the future.
'Monteblanco' might, however, become a popular testing ground for F1.
Teams already like running in sunny Spain during the winter, and the new circuit - much like Paul Ricard - can be modified into several different configurations.
