We caught up with Henri Pescarolo this morning at his permanent base in the Technoparc within the Le Mans 24 hours circuit.Pescarolo's eponymous team truly have a Le Mans legend at the helm. After a driving career spanning four decades, 33 Le Mans starts and four overall
victories, he brings an unparalleled wealth of experience to the team's assault on overall victory in the 24 hours of Le Mans 2006.
Having shown huge promise at test day, the question is, how well matched are Pescarolo's cars to the Diesel Audis?
"Pesca" as always is not a man to engage in much prediction or speculation. In his measured low tones he stated; "The car is very well balanced, it has a good downforce without a penalty in top speed." They are extremely pleased with the performance of the car and it's evolution. The driver line-up is very similar to last year, retaining Rally champ
Sebastien Loeb in the No.17.
As for speculation? "Pesca" will leave that to the commentators, in the final analysis what is important is finishing the race and running cleanly. They have speed and experience on their side. Maybe this will be the year for Pescarolo. Henri remains quiet but confident.
