Ferrari win a boost for the European GP
Ferrari and Italian F1 fans are not the only ones still celebrating Michael Schumacher
's Imola triumph.
Walter Kafitz, in charge of Schumacher's upcoming home Grand Prix at the Nurburgring, reports that the switchboard is alight
with fans now wanting to catch a glimpse of the resurgent German next Sunday.
Not far from the 37-year-old's birthplace, the European Grand Prix is the first of two races in Germany in 2006.
"We're going to need two days to get on top of all the enquiries," Kafitz told Auto Motor Und Sport.
Revealing 30 per cent more interest than after Melbourne, where Schumacher crashed, Kafitz added: "The phones were running hot!"
So far, Nurburgring has sold 150,000 tickets for the May 5-7 Grand Prix - a tad more than at the same time last year.
