Bruno Senna and Campos Meta 1 have reached an agreement that will see the Brazilian step up to Formula One with the team next year.
"I'm absolutely delighted to fulfil a lifelong dream," said Senna. "Now it is time to set new targets. The project that Campos Meta 1 developed
is designed to succeed both on and off track."
Senna came close to a deal to join Brawn at the start of the year, only to lose out to Rubens Barrichello
as the team got to grips with the new management structure following the loss of Honda.
Enrique Rodriguez de Castro, President of Meta Image and CEO of the Campos Meta 1 F1 Team, declared: "It is a great pleasure to welcome Bruno Senna in the team. We have followed him closely since his early days in minor series and testing how quickly he developed his speed and skills at GP2 to become on the most promising drivers of his generation.
It is astonishing how fast he is entering the F1 scenasrio after just a few years in motor racing.
“For Campos Meta 1 it is an extraordinary honour to be returning the name Senna to Formula One. The deal with Senna confirms and re-enforces our prime objective of being not only the first Spanish Formula One team, but rather the first Iberian-American F1 team.”
