Taking the fight to the dominant Brawn team
With Jenson Button
having won all but one race this year, Sebastian Vettel know he needs to add to his tally of one victory tomorrow in Turkey if he is to keep his title aspirations alive.
Starting from the pole position
with only a slightly lighter fuel load than Button and Brawn Mercedes team-mate Rubens Barrichello
, the Red Bull Renault driver is determined to convert todayís top result into the real thing.
"Finally we made it," Vettel said. "The last couple of races we tried very hard and finally we are ahead of these white guys. This is just half-way and the main task for us comes tomorrow. It is a very long race here, very tough. It will be very hot, so for both drivers and cars it wonít be an easy one.
"I donít think you can do more than pole position on Saturday; we did so, so thatís positive, but again, thereís no reason to be too excited," he continued. "I think we have done our homework so far but the main demands come tomorrow when we have to race 58 laps around here."
Itís always difficult to know what to expect. Itís a long day tomorrow. For sure it wonít be easy, it will be a tough fight against those two (Brawnís) and also the guys behind," Vettel concluded.
