Barcelona - McLaren Mercedes - Test day 3After missing the afternoon running yesterday in the KERS equipped McLaren Mercedes MP4-23K, Gary Paffett was back on track today for the final day of running at Circuit de Catalunya.
The team had no issues today and was happy
with the progress it had made understanding the slick tyres and new aero configurations. McLaren were also encouraged by its increased understanding of the KERS device and its impact on car dynamics.
Paffett completed 81 laps with a best time of 1:21.140s, fourth fastest.
The test team now begins to focus on next month’s Jerez test, where the programme will continue with greater focus on the evaluation of 2009-spec aerodynamics.
