Bridgestone announce tyre specifications
Compound change for the season finale
Bridgestone has announced the compound allocations of Potenza tyres for the final four rounds of the 2008 season.

For Formula One’s first visit to the new street circuit in Singapore the soft and super soft compounds will be
used.

The Japanese Grand Prix will have the medium and soft compounds, the same as used last season, whilst the Chinese Grand Prix will use the hard and medium compounds, just as in 2007.

For the season finale at the Brazilian Grand Prix there is a change from the compounds used last season, and the medium and soft compounds will be provided this year, as opposed to the soft and super soft used in 2007.

Hirohide Hamashima, Director of Tyre Development
“After eleven races this season we can now confirm our tyre allocations for the final four races of the year. This will be the first time for Formula One in Singapore and we will bring the soft and super soft compounds for this interesting new street course."

"High grip will be required at this track which is the primary reason for our choice. In Japan and China we will use the same compounds as we used in 2007. For Brazil we have moved a step harder in our allocation range. This race can be very hot, as we saw last year, and our data from the thrilling final race of last season showed us that this change would be beneficial for the teams.
