Looks forward to the Valencia challenge The Hungarian Grand Prix may have been a difficult weekend for
Kimi Raikkonen, but for countryman Heikki Kovalainen it was a dream result come Sunday evening as he notched up his first Grand Prix win.
"Congratulations to Heikki
Kovalainen for his first win in Formula One," said Raikkonen this week. "He had his share of bad luck and now it's his turn!"
After joking that he'd take Kovalainen out to party in the summer break, Raikkonen turned his attention to the forthcoming Grand Prix in Valencia, a new venue for the Formula One circus.
"I like to discover new tracks," Raikkonen explained. "Since I was a child driving in a kart I always learned quickly to drive on unknown tracks.
It will be hot, just like it was in Budapest, which is something we like, because it seems that our car adapts easily to the high temperatures."
"Ferrari has been leading in the constructors' championships for several races now. This shows that we've a better car and lots of potential," he concluded.
