Jerez - Williams Toyota - Test Day 1The team's test driver, Nico Hulkenberg, made a return to the cockpit today for the start of a four-day test in Jerez this week.
At the 4.428km southern Spanish track, and under extremely hot conditions which saw temperatures reach
the mid-thirties Celsius, Hulkenberg spent the day setting up the FW30 ahead of round 11 of the season, which will take place in Hungary in less than two weeks' time.
Hulkenberg set the fourth-fastest time of the day with a 1:20.953 among a field of eight teams, as Force India is absent and BMW Sauber stopped early following a KERS-related incident.
Dickie Stanford, Test Team Manager:
"Nico Hulkenberg drove the car today and concentrated on general set-ups. Our running was cut short by a technical problem later on in the afternoon, but we fortunately didn't lose too much time. Nico Rosberg joins us tomorrow for day two."
