Honda tester in action with Peugeot at SpaHonda test and reserve driver Alex Wurz will not be travelling to Turkey this weekend with the team for the Grand Prix, but will instead be busy on track at Spa Francorchamps as he begins his preparations with the Peugeot team in
readiness for the Le Mans 24 hour race.
Wurz and former champion Jacques
Jacques Villeneuve join the regular pilots for the 1000km of Spa Francorchamps and the Honda tester is looking forward to the challenge.
“The first time I saw the 908 I wanted to drive it,” Wurz stated. “It looks great and I have been able to see for myself how consistently it has progressed each time I have tested it since the beginning of the year.
The 908 sounds different to other cars I have driven because you don't rev so high with a diesel engine, but it's a genuine race car.”
Peugeot has won the opening two rounds of the LMS championship in Barcelona and Monza with the aim of carrying the speed to Le Mans in June where Wurz and
Jacques Villeneuve will again be behind the wheel.
