Barcelona - Red Bull Renault - Test day 1Today provided what the Red Bull team hopes will be the last outing for their 2007 wet weather clothing, as rain meant that this first of three days' testing was very much a washout.
The cold conditions did not help much either.
Both Mark Webber and David Coulthard did some practice starts, but the team chose not to do too many laps, hoping for better conditions tomorrow.
There was however one piece of unscheduled excitement when Coulthard, as they say, "had a moment" on the uphill section between Turns 7 and 8, which ended up with him kissing the wall. The minor damage was soon repaired and he was back out on track.
Webber was third-fastest today with a time of 1:32.599, ahead of Coulthard's fifth-best 1:32.924.
