Super Aguri skip Barcelona testing
Cash-strapped team should appear in Catalunya
Struggling Formula One team Super Aguri, currently battling to survive a financial crisis, will not participate in planned testing in Barcelona this week, according to owner Aguri Suzuki.

"Super Aguri will not take part
in testing in Barcelona this week because of elements out of our control," said Suzuki. "We plan however to particpate in tests from next week on the Catalunya circuit with two cars."

Super Aguri remain the only team to have not yet tested their 2008 car and had been expected to do so in Barcelona this week.

Last week in Jerez, the team's two drivers, Takuma Sato of Japan and Briton Anthony Davidson, drove a hyrbid version of their 2007 car with several technical improvements.

There are just two testing sessions left before the season begins on March 16 in Australia.

The Renault, Williams, Red Bull and Toyota teams will test in Barcelona from Tuesday to Thursday. Ferrari will stay until Friday, while BMW will test at the same time in Valencia.

The final session will be in Barcelona from February 25-27, and should bring together Ferrari, McLaren, BMW, Renault, Red Bull, Toro Rosso, Toyota, Honda, Force India and Super Aguri.
