Jerez - McLaren Mercedes - Test day 2Heikki Kovalainen joined new team-mate Lewis Hamilton today in Spain as the test plan switched to a focus on longer runs.
The day was affected by windy conditions, which made the track conditions far from ideal.
Hamilton
finished shortly after 15:00, as the wind had picked up during the course of the afternoon. The team chose to focus on preparing his car for tomorrow’s running.
Kovalainen continued to the end of the session, with his programme switching to shorter runs.
Hamilton and Kovalainen recorded lap times of 1:19.
857 and 1:20.152 respectively and were sixth and tenth fastest. The duo continue tomorrow.
