Jerez - McLaren Mercedes - Test Day 2
After a bit of drubbing in Belgium, McLaren Mercedes were back in action today at Jerez as they prepare for the final - and decisive - three races of the season.
Test driver Pedro de la Rosa was back in action at the 4.423 KM
Spanish test track in sunny conditions, recording the fastest lap of the day on a 1:19.267, recorded in the morning.
The focus at the Circuito de Jerez returned fully to the challenge for the Driversí World Championship. The test team worked through tyre evaluation with Bridgestone and set-up programmes for Japan, China and Brazil.
The day also saw Pedro and the team look at a range of aerodynamic developments for the final three races.
With Kimi Raikkonen
winning in Belgium and closing the gap to 11 and 13 points respectively to Fernando Alonso
and Lewis Hamilton, the season is far from over.
