Mugello - Toro Rosso Ferrari - Test Day 2For the second day of testing sharing Mugello with Ferrari, Scott Speed took over driving duties from Tonio Liuzzi.
Progress was interrupted by an electrical problem in the morning and a coolant leak in the afternoon.
Despite
this, the team managed to complete some useful set-up work for Hungary as well as work on the braking system with Budapest's hot weather in mind. Some aero work was also on the agenda.
Speed stays in the cockpit for tomorrow's final day of the test, which is also the last day before the summer testing ban comes into force.
Speed's father meanwhile denied reports that the beleaguered Toro Rosso driver has been effectively sacked.
But, when asked by the website of American broadcaster Speed TV, Mike Speed did not rule out the scenario unfolding as 'a lot of things' are currently going on behind closed doors.
"As far as I know, Scott has not been released," said Speed Snr. "But, obviously, there's been a lot of things going on..."
