Title leader not feeling the pressureWorld championship leader Lewis Hamilton has been dazzling Formula One fans all season, but now even seven-time world champion
Michael Schumacher has admitted he is an admirer.
"What he has done this year is very impressive. Lewis
is the sort of driver worth turning on the television for," Schumacher told German newspaper Bild.
Hamilton admitted last weekend one of his biggest regrets was not being able to test himself against Schumacher and was delighted to hear praise from the German.
"It is amazing to hear such praise from him," said Hamilton. "I have met him several times, but it has given me a big boost to hear that from someone who I watched so often on the television and for so long."
As he prepares for his tenth race of the season this weekend at Nurburgring, Hamilton admits he is feeling a lot more relaxed about Formula One, compared to his debut in Australia earlier this season.
"During my first race, the pressure was much larger," he said. "I had put 13 years of work into that moment. I couldn't afford an error and if I had made a mistake I could have wrecked my career. But now I am much more relaxed about things," explained the Briton.
