Spa Francorchamps - BMW Sauber - Test Day 2Due to mixed weather conditions at Spa Francorchamps today, it was a difficult test day for the BMW Sauber squad.
Due to the wet circuit in the morning, Kubica waited for the conditions to improve, but lost time later due
to a gearbox problem.
The mechanical failure occurred when other drivers set their quick lap times in the dry. Kubica completed 32 laps with a best time of 1:55.155s and was slowest on the day.
In the afternoon, Kubica worked on a rain set-up, testing extreme weather tyres and wet weather tyres.
At the end of the session, he practiced starts in the wet.
Kubica continued tomorrow in what is the final day of testing.
