Paul Ricard - Toro Rosso Ferrari - Testing Day 3We're pretty used to seeing Scott Speed spear off the track with a tyre failure or grind to a halt with yet another mechanical failure with his Toro Rosso Ferrari, but today the American showed some good pace with the STR2.
Today,
along with the other teams Speed switched to the longer circuit layout that helps simulate Montreal track conditions.
On the agenda was assessing the Bridgestone 'super soft' tyre that we had not tried so far in this test. Also on the day’s schedule was work on set-up with the STR 2 running in low downforce Canadian configuration.
Speed set the second fastest time of the day with a best lap of 1:29.039s, just two-tenths off
Kimi Raikkonen.
Tonio Liuzzi is in the cockpit tomorrow for the final day of this test.
