Transfering from HondaJapanese Formula One team Super Aguri announced yesterday the signing of Briton James Rossiter as a back up test driver for Takuma Sato and Anthony Davidson.
'Rossiter will begin his new role from this week during private testing on the Paul-Ricard
circuit (near Marseille, France),' the team said in a statement.
Rossiter, 23, has been a test driver with Honda since November 2006. He replaces Dutchman Giedo van der Garde, who joined Spyker in February.
Japan's Sato achieved Super Aguri's first point of the season by finishing eighth in the Spanish Grand Prix, the fourth in the 17-round world championship series in Barcelona on Sunday. British driver Davidson finished eleventh.
