Little running in the Spanish testsThe Williams Toyota team concluded their Barcelona test prematurely on Wednesday after Nico Rosberg suffered an accident at the beginning of the morning session, sustaining damage to the chassis that could not be repaired at the circuit.
For his part, Rosberg was unhurt but underwent precautionary medical check-ups and was cleared by medical staff.
On Monday Kazuki went off on his 44th lap of the day, while rain on Tuesday limited Rosberg to 45 laps before his shunt on Wednesday.
“Barcelona was not as productive a test for us as it might have been with two considerable accidents," explained Test Team Manager Dickie Stanford.
"Both Kazuki and Nico are fine, however. We had to stop the test earlier than planned due to the chassis damage we had on Wednesday morning. However, having tested at this track over the winter will help us prepare for the GP here next weekend."
