Development of the F1.07 ahead of BarcelonaThree races of the 2007 Formula One World Championship have passed and the BMW Sauber F1 Team now has time until mid-May to prepare for the next race, the Spanish Grand Prix.
It has been a solid start to the season for the
team with
Nick Heidfeld racking up 15 points and Robert Kubica three. This places the team a firm third in the constructors' championship ahead of rivals Renault and Toyota.
The intensive development work on the BMW Sauber F1.07 continues.
"Obviously we are trying to make the car even faster," said Technical Director Willy Rampf. "The next test in Barcelona is scheduled to prepare for the race on that track.
We will have several new components on the car in order to take off a few extra tenths of a second per lap. Taking everything into consideration, I believe we can be satisfied with what we have at our disposal now."
