Brake failure ends Gardemeister's Opel testing
The IRC's Spanish round at Rally Principe de Asturias turned out to be a big dissapointment for Flying Finn Toni Gardemeister as he and co-driver Tomi Tuominen suffered brake failure and dropped into a deep ditch during the pneultimate stage of final day.

Race car driver Alex Zanardi is aiming for a place on the Italian cycling team at the 2012 Paralympics to be hosted in London.

BMW Sauber sold, FIA supports entry
German car manufacturer BMW has announced that its Formula One team will be sold to Qadbak Investments Ltd, a foundation based in Switzerland "which represents the interests of certain Middle East and European based families," indicated a statement issued on Tuesday.

McLaren ink Santander contract
Last Thursday Ferrari announced a five year sponsorship agreement with Spanish bank Santander,leading to speculation that the firm would no longer be involved with McLaren Mercedes. The Woking-based team announced today an extension to its partnership with Santander.
