On its very first event, the Suzuki SX4 WRC of P-G Andersson has finished the third day of the Monte Carlo Rally in a provisional points-scoring place. After four days, 19 stages and 362.39 competitive kilometres, Chris Atkinson triumphed in his momentous battle for third to start the season with a well-deserved podium. Petter Solberg achieved his best result on this event in fifth place overall, earning the Subaru World Rally Team second in the Manufacturers’ Championship.

Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena completed the third day of the 2008 Monte Carlo Rally on top of the provisional leaderboard with their Citroën C4 WRC after spending Saturday managing from in front without taking any undue risks. At the wheel of the second Citroën Total car, Dani Sordo and Marc Martí were stopped in their tracks by a turbo problem on SS11.

At the end of Suzuki's first full day of World Championship rallying, both cars are safely at the finish with some valuable lessons learned for the future. The SX4 WRC has again set top 10 times today, with P-G Andersson finishing 11th overall and Toni Gardemeister 14th.
